Dr. Stella Awua Larbi – 13 Years with KCC Joliet, IL
Dr. Stella Awua-Larbi chose to join KCC because of its family-centered culture and the sense of belongingness she experienced. She explains, “I was attracted to the family-centered culture and felt comfortable with the founding partner, Dr. Alausa, who genuinely cared about my well-being and professional growth.” Throughout her years at KCC, Dr. Awua-Larbi has valued the independence in her practice and the good professional relationships she has formed with her colleagues and staff. She admires the Joliet KCC staff, commending their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication to patient care. Dr. Awua-Larbi offers valuable advice to new physicians: “The opportunity for professional growth is available if they work hard and take ownership of their practice.”
Dr. Suresh Samson – 11 Years with KCC Olympia Fields, IL
Dr. Suresh Samson has been part of the Kidney Care Center for over a decade, driven by his deep passion for nephrology. He expresses his love for the patient, saying, “I have always had a deep passion for nephrology, and when I had the opportunity to join KCC, that passion developed into a deeper love for our patients.” Dr. Samson finds great satisfaction in helping patients in dire need and values the challenges that come with his work. He praises the KCC team, expressing gratitude for their daily contributions, saying, ” I thank them every day; we as practitioners would not be able to do what we do without our team.” Additionally, he advises new physicians to be patient and embrace the learning process, as there is something to learn daily.
Dr. Sushant Taksande – 10 Years with KCC South, IL
When Dr. Sushant Taksande first joined the Kidney Care Center, what stood out to him was the physician-driven nature of the practice. He recalls that the main reason for his joining the practice was that the Kidney Care Center was a physician-driven practice, and that essence remains the same today. Over the years, Dr. Taksande has been motivated by the unwavering support from KCC’s administrative staff, which allows him to focus solely on patient care. He credits much of his success to the hardworking staff at KCC, stating, “Kudos to our hardworking staff; they have been instrumental in taking care of patients and growing the practice.” Dr. Taksande encourages new physicians at KCC to appreciate physician autonomy and administrative support, which he believes is a unique strength of the practice.
Dr. Muhammad Omer – 10 Years with KCC South, IL
For Dr. Omer, the practice location initially drew him to the Kidney Care Center. The people he worked with have kept him there for over a decade. “I stayed over a decade due to the people I am working with,” he shares.
